After high school Brad joined the Army and served as a combat medic on active duty for 4 year, which included a year in Korea. He was able to complete half of his undergrad at various schools depending on where he was stationed.
During Brad’s last year of active duty he married his high school sweetheart, Diane. They settled down in KC where Brad received a BA in Biology from UMKC and then attended the University of Kansas School of Medicine.
He remained active in the Missouri National Guard serving both as a medic and as a commissioned Medical Service Corps office during the five years following his discharge from active duty.
